Hygge and West

Discover why I love sourcing wallpaper from Hygge & West, a brand known for playful, artful patterns, creative collaborations, and timeless charm that brings warmth to any home.

About Hygge & West

Hygge & West was founded by two friends, Christiana Coop and Aimee Lagos, who wanted to bring more joy and pattern into everyday life. The name “Hygge” comes from the Danish word for coziness, that feeling of warmth, comfort, and contentment. From the start, their goal was simple: create wallpapers that make people happy to be home.

Their patterns are full of life: birds in flight, blooming florals, whimsical scenes, and modern geometry, all designed to feel both personal and approachable. Hygge & West has also become known for its artist collaborations, working with people like Rifle Paper Co., Julia Rothman, and Lisa Congdon to create prints that blend story and style.

What I Love About Hygge & West

I’ve always been drawn to brands that feel authentic and warm, and Hygge & West does exactly that. Their wallpapers tell little stories, the kind that make you smile every time you walk into the room. Whether it’s a powder bath that needs a bit of cheer or a bedroom that calls for a sense of calm, their patterns manage to fit both moods beautifully.

The quality is fantastic, and the designs are versatile, bold enough to make a statement but soft enough to live with every day. I also love how their papers translate well into Austin homes, especially ones that lean cozy, colorful, and full of character.
