The Role
Part-Time Interior Design Assistant – The Wallpaper Concierge (Austin, TX / Remote)
This role combines design support, client interaction, and small-business operations. The right person will become a trusted right-hand partner helping projects move from inspiration to installation.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting clients during Supply Showroom visits and helping guide wallpaper selections
Creating mood boards and organizing design presentations
Ordering wallpaper and samples
Helping place and track client orders
Light social media support
Researching trends, products, and new wallpaper lines
Administrative support including invoicing, payments, and project organization
General small-business support as needed
Schedule:
Flexible hours that vary week to week
Supply Showroom hours are typically 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional administrative/design support averages 4–6 hours per week (sometimes more or less depending on projects)
Pay:
$200 flat weekly retainer for approximately 9–11 hours of work per week (equivalent to about $18–$22/hour depending on workload).
Additional time supporting client visits at Supply Showroom is compensated separately.
We aim to keep weekly hours within this general range so expectations feel clear and manageable for both sides. Open to more as the role grows.
About You
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Friendly, approachable, and customer-service oriented
Comfortable interacting with clients in a professional setting
Enthusiastic about interiors, design, and/or small business operations
Self-starter who enjoys variety and learning on the job
Familiarity with Canva or basic design tools is helpful but not required
